Clinton Charter Township might not be one of the first places you think of if you’re looking for adventure in Michigan, but there are plenty of fun things to do here whether you’re in town on your own or visiting with your family!
I’ve gathered a list of my top nine things to do in Clinton Charter Township. Let’s jump right in!
1. CJ Barrymore’s
CJ Barrymore’s is one of my favorite Michigan attractions! This amusement park has to make the list of things to do in Clinton Charter Township.
When we think of amusement parks, it can be easy to focus on bigger, more popular ones like Cedar Point or Six Flags. However, I actually think CJ Barrymore’s is just as worthy of attention!
CJ Barrymore’s has a diverse and exciting assortment of activities, including an arcade packed full of games to play and prizes to earn, laser tag, bumper cars (my personal favorite!), bowling, mini bowling (bowling with smaller lanes and smaller bowling balls), batting cages, rollercoasters, and even a Ferris wheel!
Even if this is the only location you visit, you’ll find many things to do in Clinton Charter Township right here!
2. Anton Art Center
Anton Art Center has plenty of opportunities to admire artistic endeavors, including classes, exhibits, and different events.
If you’re looking to shop rather than create for yourself, you can also go to Anton Art Market, where you can purchase all different kinds of handmade crafts and art—dishes, jewelry, cloth products, paintings, etc.
If you are feeling the call of creativity, however, Anton Art Center offers plenty of classes for everyone from beginners to experts.
You can visit the art center to take part in classes for ceramics, jewelry, painting, and even less conventional art mediums like mosaics and resin!
3. Sky Zone Trampoline Park
While Sky Zone is technically a couple of miles outside the exact area, it makes my list of things to do in Clinton Charter Township anyway because it’s so close…and so fun!
Sky Zone is an indoor trampoline park that offers activities for all ages. You can climb the Skyladder, described as “a frustratingly fidgety ladder, suspended over a soft landing.”
You can take a swan dive into the Foam Zone, a pit filled to the brim with soft foam to allow for huge jumps and gentle landings. You can even get competitive with Ultimate Dodgeball, a game of Battle Beam, or even take a stab at the Ninja Warrior Course!
4. Packard Proving Grounds
If you’re a car fanatic, a history buff, or maybe even a combo of both, this option for things to do in Clinton Charter Township can’t be missed!
According to the website, Packard Proving Grounds “is to preserve the legacy of the Packard Motor Car Company through the restoration and preservation of the Packard Proving Grounds, educating future generations about America’s automotive history.”
Packard Proving Grounds is packed full of incredible glimpses into Michigan history, and not only that, but the grounds make for a beautiful option to hold different events! It’s a great option if you’re looking for a fun, unique place to hold a wedding.
5. River Bends Park
River Bends Park is technically under the jurisdiction of Shelby Township, but with the Clinton River being one of its featured attractions, it has to make the list of things to do in Clinton Charter Township. It’s only just outside of it, so it’s hardly a trip!
River Bends Park offers plenty of trails to explore with your family, a beautiful playground, an archery range, and a disc golf course.
There is no shortage of fun to be had in this gorgeous park; if you have a furry family member, you can even get them involved! Dogs are allowed on the trails, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to get them out and about for an adventure of their own.
6. The Mall at Partridge Creek
The Mall at Partridge Creek may sound like your basic mall experience, but it’s anything but!
This unique thing to do in Clinton Charter Township is great for you and your friends, you and your family, or even a solo adventure.
There are dozens of incredible shops and restaurants to explore and enjoy, a 30-foot fireplace to admire or sit beside when you need to rest your feet from shopping, and a theater on the premises if you’d like to take a break and catch a movie!
Because it’s an open-air arrangement, dogs are welcome to come along with their owners, and you can even access Wi-Fi for free while you’re exploring the mall.
7. Total Axe
Whether you need to get a little anger out or simply want to embrace your inner Viking, Total Axe Throwing is one of my very favorite things to do in Clinton Charter Township!
There are wooden targets set up for you to heft an axe and test your aiming prowess, but axes aren’t the only thing available to you here; in fact, you can also throw knives or some smaller weapons if you’re not sure axes are your thing.
This is a great place to “throw” a girl’s night, a bachelor or bachelorette party, or even a birthday party. While you can go as a family, children under 18 are required to have adult supervision.
8. Freddy’s Bar
Freddy’s Bar comes highly recommended as far as things to do in Clinton Charter Township. Many locals laud the delicious food, the extensive selection of beers on tap, and the electric atmosphere.
You can celebrate Taco Tuesday here with live music, an ongoing raffle, and of course, tacos! You can also expect live music performances every Friday and Saturday, so this is a great place to start your weekend off right or end it with a bang.
Personally, if you’re planning to get a meal here, I have to recommend Joey’s Big Mac’N’Cheese burger; after all, you can’t possibly go wrong by combining a burger with fried macaroni and cheese, can you?
9. SnapShots Selfie Studio
Last on my list of things to do in Clinton Charter Township is SnapShots Selfie Studio! You’ll have to pay $30 for admission if you’re over 13 years old. The only exception is if you visit on Tuesdays and Thursdays – then it’ll be about $20!
While a bit pricy, this is a fun and creative way to spend some time getting some incredible pictures and making memories with your friends and family!
You can bring your phone along and use SnapShots’ intricate, creative backgrounds and props to set up truly delightful selfies. This is a great choice for girls’ nights, bachelorette parties, and birthday parties, or if you want to spice up your Instagram feed but need some creative assistance!
Just be sure your phone is fully charged and ready to go; you are required to use your personal device for your pictures. SnapShot will not provide devices for you.
