The Police
Should you be stopped by a police officer for a traffic violation, do not argue. Make the officer feel important. Apologize for doing anything wrong. You might still receive a traffic ticket if you're nice, but if you antagonize the officer you have no idea of how you may be treated. Police officers can find many things wrong with your car if they look hard enough, and give you an expensive summons for each one. Should you be tempted to bribe an officer, you should be aware that such an attempt could backfire, and you could be arrested for a crime. You'll have to use your own judgment in this matter.
