Life in the USA Public Services II Stores and Services
|
Video Rental
Video rental stores are in every neighborhood. Some are small, but the growing trend is toward large national chains of stores. You might have to pay a small fee to become a member of the store's club, and then a per-tape charge for the DVDs and tapes you rent. Most stores like to deal with credit cards only. If they have your card number on file they are protected against tape theft. If you don't have a credit card, you might have to give a deposit before you can rent DVDs and tapes.
